Cons
Gas mileage
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Highly recommend! We love this SUV!
As far as comforts are concerned, this SUV has everything you would want in a vehicle. My Eddie Bauer came with heated seats, heated mirrors, two tone leather seats, third row seating, mounted steering wheel controls, DVD entertainment (a must) and tons of other extras. I have had the car for a year and thus far we have only had routine maintenance and upkeep on the car. The 4x4 worked beautifully in snow this winter season. There is plenty of power in the 6 cylinder version, but for towing, the eight cylinder might work better. Gas mileage is about 18 city, slightly higher on the highway.
The Explorer is great for moving and traveling out of town. It seats seven adults comfortably without luggage. With luggage, it seats five adults comfortably. This vehicle is a great all weather, family oriented car. My have been very happy with the car and take it on long trips often. The DVD player and smooth ride make the trips very enjoyable for the passengers. It is a dream to drive as well. The gas mileage is low as expected with a sports utility vehicle or truck. Otherwise, I have only good things to say about our Explorer!
