Vtech 1722 Digital Answering Machine

My replacement for my first AT&T 1722 answering machine just failed in exactly the same way the first one did; it no longer records messages. I don't know how long it has been since it stopped recording as so far no one has asked me about lost messages. The first machine was replaced under the warranty, but I have no receipt for this replacement so cannot get yet another replacement (but why would I want one???). I have noticed declining voice quality recently, perhaps the only symptom of a failing machine)

Time to switch brands
