Creating a diffused sound field for rear channel surround has become critical to mimic the array of speakers along the side and back walls of a traditional movie theater. The new AIM Cinema DiPole does this in a very elegant format. Each speaker has two 5¼ inch drivers and two 1-inch dome tweeters placed 50 degrees off-axis from each other. Two switchable settings allow the speaker to operate in either a bipole configuration or in opposite polarity as a dipole to create the desired null at the listening area.
