This model has very large internal passages for very large flow capacity. It can be used in just about any application. The thermostat opens at 180 degrees F/82 degrees C +/-10 degrees F or +/-3 degrees C. We also offer Oil Thermostats with Female NPT Ports (Part No. 1228-Size), which have smaller internal passages but cost a bit less.
