In our shop, we use a very sharp hobby knife and sharp-tipped tweezers to peel off the die-cut masking tape from the sheet before applying it to a part. Most of the time, the die-cut mask comes off easily, but keep a sharp hobby knife handy for those few pieces that are not cut all the way through.
