Not what I was hoping for

Pros Nice layout, good backgrounds, many versions to play.
Cons Repetitive, buggy, needs refinement.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  I would like to return this game, because it loses a lot of the enjoyment it could have from a few things that need refinement.
This game seemed like a good purchase as I was walking out of the store, only to find when I got home that this game is not as good as it could be.

When I first started playing, I liked to see that there are many types of pool games that can be played. This is not just an 8 and 9 ball version, but rather many different games in one.

The backgrounds are nice 3D layouts, with various rooms and furniture. I don't like that they seem empty, from there not being much more then a room and chairs. Wheres the party?

There are some characters you can choose, but there is no point to it. You select your character and all you get is their picture in the bottom of the screen while playing. There are no people in the game, just the cue stick.

This is a multi player game, but when we tried to select characters, only the first player seems to be able to pick their own. My character was selected for me by the computer for some odd reason.

I really don't like this game.

There are times you can't see the ball because there is a wall in front of you, how can I shoot then?

The music is annoying and repetitive. You can select a few different tracks, but then they just play over and over again.

After every shot you have to hit A to continue. If you fouled you have to press A twice, before the next player can go. It is very annoying that it takes so long between turns because of the repetitive messages showing scores and telling you when you fouled. If you don't get any balls in it tells you that you fouled. Can't the game just pass the turn on to the next player?

After you make a shot, the camera follows the white ball. Most of the time you are watching the part of the table where nothing is happening and you can't see if you made your shot or not. Sometimes you can make some pretty crazy shots and the excitement is lost if you can;t see what happened!

If a player accesses the menu, there seems to be a glitch that resets all the players to having to use the first players controller until the first player gets another shot. Then all the remotes go back to working with the appropriate players.

Using the Wii remote with this game is not much fun either. You have to use the + pad to move the cue, and press B to hold the position. Then you hold A down and pull back to get the power you want, and then release A while pushing forward. doesn't feel like playing the real thing.

It is hard to aim with the poor ability to change camera angles. The camera angles don't stick for each player as well, so you can't have them how you want them because the next player might change it to their liking. You have to use the nunchuck to change angles.

There are parts of the 3D backgrounds that flicker, walls and such, which indicates there is a problem with that part of the background. Probably things overlapping.

On particular background has a light above the table that flickers, and before I figured that out, I thought my TV was getting messed up.
