I can't stop playing!
Pros
A big game, tons of fun. Lots of characters, items, skills, quests. Great online server for playing with friends. Others can't use hacks online!
Cons
A very BIG game, takes up a lot of space on the computer. You can't use hacks online!

With the release of the original Diablo, everyone was overloaded with joy. It was continuously praised as an amazing game of action and adventure - and it deserved to be. It was thought by many, including myself, that the amazing game could never be outdone. It was the game that was impossible to overrate, the absolutely perfect game. We were wrong.
Diablo II made gaming history when it was released this past summer; it was the only game that could outdo its predecessor. It did everything the original did just as well as the original did, but MORE! Much, much more! More character classes, more gameplay, more good graphics (I'd say "better" graphics, except that would kind of ruin the power of the statement). You get FOUR (count them 1, 2, 3, 4) acts of pure fun with five (you can count those, too) completely different character classes. Using what's called a skill tree, you can uniquely develop your own character into, theoretically, a seemingly infinite number of combinations of characters. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was amazed by this game. It didn't matter if you had never played the original, you still LOVED this game.
As soon as Diablo II came out, I ran out and bought my copy for $50. When a friend my mine had second thoughts about buying the game (induced by the price) I screamed at him, "What are you CRAZY? This is going to be the BEST GAME EVER! It's worth it!!" I was right about it being the best game ever (until Diablo III comes out, I suppose). My friend thought about it for a few days until giving in to the overwhelming temptation. We played online almost continuously for the following week or two. Then it wore off a little, but to this day, we play online (along with countless other friends and strangers alike).
This game is jam packed with secrets, cheats and much more of that kind of thing. Many of these imperfections have been ironed out by Blizzard in revisions of the original version, but you can count on there being countless more "mistakes." One intentional add-on: the "Secret Cow Level." Once Diablo lies dead (oh, c'mon, I didn't spoil it; that was inevitable) it is possible to open a portal to level of cows, a secret level of cows. What's so good about that, you may ask? You can get TONS of great, rare stuff down there! Plus, it's pretty funny (think about it, cows are funny).
If you can't stop playing this one, get the original Diablo! Chances are, you've already played and beat this one. But if you haven't, please do!! Also you might enjoy the Blizzard classics: Warcraft I and II (soon to be III) and Starcraft. These games are very different than the Diablo games, but I have found that for some odd reason, people who like Diablo I and II like those games as well.
BUY DIABLO II! BUT DIABLO II! BUY DIA - (you get the idea)
