This is a beautiful coffee grinder. Made of old style white ceramic pottery with a clamp on lip reminding you of the old clamp on Mason jar lids. The grinding mechanism itself is adjustable and might have to be adjusted to your favorite grinded bean. Note that we pre adjust it here so it might be perfect already. If not just loosen the nut on the shaft and turn the star wheel up or down till you get the best grind. It may take some experimenting to get it just the way you like it. Stands over 10" tall with the base at 5" across. It looks like it will hold about a quart of coffee (or whatever, cookies, jelly beans, etc. if you want to use it as a safe). It also has a ceramic loop on the side to hold your spoon or measuring scoop. Great gift for just about any occasion. We are even giving a little red scoop with this grinder.

If you have an espresso machine, you will enjoy the convenience of being able to grind directly into the filter basket for your machine. After you remove the coffee grounds bin, you can insert your filter basket (portafilter) directly under the dispensing chute to collect the coffee as it is being dispensed. You can push the pulse button with your thumb while holding the filter basket for true one hand operation.One important and often overlooked task required of owning a good coffee grinder is routine cleaning. To clean the Virtuoso™, just remove the coffee been hopper to expose the grinding chamber. At this point the outer ring burr simply lifts out.
