In 1986, she received a B.A. in Art Therapy from the College of New Jersey and from 1988 to 1990, she continued with post-graduate work at the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach. Her most intensive training, however, has come from workshops with such notable artists as Ray Vinella, Martin Linville, Don Ward and Gay Faulkenbury. Her work now hangs in numerous private and corporate collections. Inspired by the early California Impressionists, Kim loves to paint "en plein aire". At least twice a year, she packs up her paints and travels across the US to capture the beautiful vistas our country has to offer. "I paint on location outdoors (en plein aire) as often as I can. I am exhilarated when I come upon a beautiful new scene before me. The greatest compliments I receive are from people who say they stop and look at the sky more often after seeing my paintings. My hope is that my paintings create a feeling of peace for the viewer and reflect the awesome beauty that nature has to offer."

Her work in photographic processes carried into printmaking and eventually came full circle to painting. “I reference photographs both found and of my own as inspiration in my paintings. Travel and adventure are an important part of her life, and she draws from her experiences an optimistic and wholehearted spirit. She enjoys love and laughter and a good bottle of wine, and is a story teller at heart. Currently, Maeve resides in Seattle, Washington, where she paints from her home on Queen Anne Hill.

Encouraged by the diversity of art that New York had to offer, Maeve explored the tradition and historical importance of works at the Metropolitan Museum to installations and contemporary pieces at galleries in SoHo. Harris moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1994 where she attended Arizona State and received her BFA in photography. Her work in photographic processes carried into printmaking and eventually came full circle to painting. “I reference photographs both found and of my own as inspiration in my paintings. I also enjoy experimentation with material used in other media to push the limits of paint." Travel and adventure are an important part of her life, and she draws from her experiences an optimistic and wholehearted spirit. She enjoys love and laughter and a good bottle of wine, and is a story teller at heart. Currently, Maeve resides in Seattle, Washington, where she paints from her home on Queen Anne Hill.
