Guardian airflow
monitors continuously check the face velocity of laboratory
hoods and enclosures and alert the operator to airflows that drop outside preset levels with audible and visual alarms. The audible alarm can be muted at the touch of a switch. The Guardian digital
monitor displays actual face velocity on an LCD screen and includes a programmable switch to open the
hood damper. The Guardian 1000 digital
monitor features an LCD of actual airflow in fpm or m/sec. from 0-999fpm. On the Guardian Jr.
monitor, a green light glows when the velocity is normal. If the face velocity falls below setpoint for more than six seconds, the audible alarm sounds and the alert indicator glows red. The right fixture panel is factory-prepared for an airflow
monitor on the following nonexplosion- proof laboratory
hoods: Protector Premier, Protector XStream, Protector XL, Protector Stainless Steel, Protector PVC, Basic, and Fiberglass 30
hoods. On the ClassMate
hoods, the
monitor can be installed in the front panel of the
hood. On the Protector Demonstration and XVS
hoods, and the Protector Workstation, the
monitor can be installed on the top of the
hood. Ordering Information: Supplied with face plate with circuit board, electrical power pack, vinyl tubing, wiring instructions, and epoxy-coated steel casing when needed.
