Our waffle weave towels are made from cotton grown on family farms in Pakistan that is free of defoliants (the chemical used to make it easier to harvest the cotton boll from the plant), dyes, and synthetic chemicals. These are family farms the manufacturer has worked with for 15 years they are commited to providing the best cotton they can grow. Many folks have asked why isn't the cotton organic? To be certified organic means a farmer has met strict requirements for growing, and that a certifying authority has overseen and approved the process. In Pakistan, there is no certifying authority and so our cotton cannot be 'certified organic'.
