Its outgoing aromas of currants, berries, dusty earth, roasted vanilla bean and creme caramel are entirely accessible now with nothing held in reserve, and its round, supple, somewhat soft texture is the right vehicle for the rich, lush, lightly chocolaty, well-fruited flavors that follow on. It can age a few years, but its lifeline is not enormous so drink it up now in its lusty youth.
