The TP-POE-48 Power Over Ethernet Power Source/Inserter offered by Tycon Power Systems are quality power sources for years of reliable operation even in the toughest conditions. They accept data-in to a shielded RJ45 Jack and provide data-out and power on the shielded RJ45 output jack. They work by supplying power to the remote device on the unused Ethernet pins 4,5(V+) and 7,8(V-). The Ethernet spec supports distances up to 100m (328 feet). The POE inserters have built in Ethernet surge protection which eliminates the need for a standalone Ethernet surge protector. The TP-POE-48 are autoranging so that they accept AC inputs from 90VAC to 264VAC (50/60 Hz) and they supply regulated 24VDC at the output. They have various protections for surge, short circuit and overload. Output is 48VDC with load regulation within 5%. Tycon Power Systems POE/Solar charge controllers have dual inputs to charge batteries from a POE source and also a secondary source like solar panels in order to provide redundancy and insure 100% uptime for critical applications. They have a built in POE inserter and DC to DC converter that delivers 48V at the POE port. They have full electronic protections for short circuit, reverse current, overvoltage, overcharge and overdischarge. The built-in overdischarge protection and low self consumption ensures the battery is not overdischarged, which greatly increases the life of the batteries. They have five LED indicators to give a quick visual status if current is being supplied by a POE source or solar panel, if battery is charging, If load output is turned on and a warning if battery is connected with reverse polarity. Solar and Battery Connections are via 4 screw terminals for wire size up to 12AWG. POE Input and Output is via 2 RJ45 shielded connectors.
