Imagine an invisible curtain hanging alongside a bed that, when pierced by an arm, leg, or head triggers an alarm. That's the kind of technology AliMed has harnessed into the PIR Alarm. Conventional alarm systems rely on weight sensor pads, strings, and clips. The PIR Alarm relies on passive infrared technology much like automatic lights or door openers. The alarm emits an invisible fan-shaped beam that parallels the bed rail, monitoring the whole bedside. No false alarms. No cumbersome pads. Use it as an alarm or warning device. When not in alarm mode, alarm will sound for 30 seconds until reset by the caregiver. In chime position, it will chime only once when activated. The adjustable mount has unique neodymium magnets that quickly and easily lock the self-contained system to the bed rail. Transmitter- detector head swivels for precise alignment of the beam.
